EXECUTING RAPID SOLUTIONS

Pottery Barn directors selected my cover design for an acoustic album, sold in all stores nation-wide. Working closely with buyers to ensure the cd design would sit perfectly next to seasonal merchandise, I quickly created hand-made imagery using light-sensitive paper purchased from a nearby museum and organic flowers grown on a local farm.

RE-VISUALIZING INFORMATION

When the table of contents [of the book pictured below] is re-visualized in a circular diagram, users can access the information more like a website and better understand the interconnectedness of the material. And, yes, each small black dot accurately represents a physical page in the book, thus the length of each essay can be measured at a glance.

CRAFTING A LEARNING EXPERIENCE

The Carnegie Museum of Natural History’s Department of Invertebrate Zoology needed to gain prominence within the city to increase its funding. Our team created a role-playing mystery game that shares the department’s story with elementary school students. The game’s framework is designed to be mailable for long-distance learning and is flexible enough to accommodate new content each year. The game is played individually and in teams using our tailored 2D, 3D and online resources.

COMPOSING CONCEPT MAPS

To better understand—and communicate—Pittsburgh’s Monroeville neighborhood,
our team interviewed residents, scoured archives, and document the area to discover how
individual elements related.
